Visit to Stormont

Catching up over a cup of tea

The Evergreen Club has developed considerably over the years, largely due to the commitment of the leaders and members. Volunteer drivers offer free transport for those wishing to come and join in on the activities. Finances are provided by jumble sales and various funding agencies, allowing us to incorporate different educational and recreational activities. Recent activities have included a trip to Stormont, Hillsborough and Castle Archdale.

At Christmas, Easter and Harvest a service of Holy Communion (traditional) is held in the church and the bread and wine are brought down to the members who sit in every second pew to avoid people having to climb the steps to the Communion rail. The purpose of these services is for the over 55’s to come together in fellowship and worship.

The Club is not restricted to members of the parish and membership is free.
