DRUMRAGH PARISH INDOOR BOWLING CLUB

Drumragh Parish Indoor Bowling Club was founded in 1962 and was based in the old parish hall, which stood on a site close to the Sexton’s house.

In the early years there were in the region of 80 members, and the Club has always had an important role in the life of the parish. It has always been to the forefront in fundraising, especially in the years leading up to the building of the new parish hall.

In 1976 the Club moved to the new hall and in that year held a Pairs Tournament. The Tournament has become an annual event, but has now changed to a Triples Competition. Club members participate in most of the local competitions, as well as the Churches’ League. The Club meets on Mondays and Thursdays each week and with over 30 members, is still the largest in the area.

Why not come along and join in on the fun and laughter, getting to know parishioners and others better as you learn the game and drink some tea. There’s still room for more members!
