We are seeking in St. Columba’s to be a church that is transforming the community around, radiating Christ. In order to achieve this there are four main areas of ministry.

~ UPWARD     - encourage people to deepen their relationship with God

~ INWARD     -  enable people to build loving relationships with each other

~ OUTWARD  - empower people to make a positive difference in the

communities in which they live and work.

~ BEYOND     - encourage people to have a real concern for all people groups

                           around the world.

We are aware that there are good things within our Anglican tradition (the central place of the Word, etc.) and yet there is a need to change in some areas (without compromising) in order to be relevant to the culture around us. As a church we have a rich tradition of music with a wonderful choir who lead us in worship each week. Combining this with multimedia (through PowerPoint and film clips) we are hoping to reach both young and old, encouraging renewal and growth within Christ’s Church.

Pastoral care is also important in encouraging spiritual growth. The Bible Study groups during the week are part of this pastoral care and so we encourage everyone to come along and study the Scriptures together in an atmosphere of prayer and support for each other.

It is our desire to be more outward looking as a church, looking at ways in which we can be more involved in the community—making a difference in our town, our nation and our world. Click on the navigation bar at the side to find out more about us as a church.
